Sweet truck Hiway. I love the Malibu, as well. What size tire are you running on the pickup? The tires on my truck are dry rotted and will need replacing in the near future.

Thumbs up Re: Finally a picture of my 1979

They look good,

Ya need to get that black tar crap off of your truck's fire wall it just makes your nice clean eng. compatrment look bad.

I removed it from my truck and it's black! it's also very hard to remove i cant even remember what i used to get it off because i tried alot of very harsh chemicals.

Re: Finally a picture of my 1979

Thanks for all of the comments guys, it means a lot! My first truck was a 79 and wanted a bbc one every since. Seems I've owned everything but. Went thru all of the body styles and numerous bbc turcks also...just not a 79. The paint is a little week but the pictures hide it well. I have to change the carpet as it's the wrong color blue. The real drama for me is whether to ditch the chrome under the hood for factory stuff and paint the intake for a factory "look". Whatcha think?

84slopwaggin: 235/70 fr. 255/70 rr. 8" ralleys

87 stepper: Torn on whether or not to remove the tare. Kinda wanting the factory look. Would like to know what takes it off for sure.

N2TRUX: Thanks! I was going thru some mags. the other day and came across an 04 edition of some trucking mag. I usually don't keep them unless something inspiring is in it. Upon opening it I realized...It was YOUR truck! Small world, or net, or something. Wish mine was black...and turns out as nice as yours.

Thanks again guys....all of the trucks on here are great!

Re: Finally a picture of my 1979

Almost forgot...my 1980 Bu. I call it Mater and it's a street/strip car I've had for 8 years or so. 454/T400 combo that runs high tens on motor and high 9's on spray. I'll try to post some more pictures later. Was saving for new/modern heads and pistons when I found my truck. I guess you can figure out how that went.
