Plowing snow in Michigan
I can enjoy the trucks all year since I can plow with my 71 in the winter. I am hoping that Junkyard John will see this picture as I am sure he misses the snow.
We don't have near the snow that Jeff has (CPNE) but we got 18" in the last week, (8" today). Jim |

Re: Plowing snow in Michigan
Awesome!!
Is the '71 a 1/2 or 3/4ton? is that an original plow set up or something that you modified to fit on your truck????

Re: Plowing snow in Michigan
arkracing,
The truck is a 71 K-10. The previous owner had the Meyer plow installed with a home made carriage. The hydraulics are the manual style with two rods for control under the dash. I have been looking for the 12 volt hydraulic package so as to eliminate the pump on the engine, but the setup works pretty well as is, though. Jim |

Re: Plowing snow in Michigan
Glad to see another 67-72 4x4 still plowing snow.My 69 K10 had a snow plow on it but I dont think the plow set up will work too good with the new 6 inch lift because we dont get much very deep snow.

Re: Plowing snow in Michigan
I Lived in Michigan for 17 years and I miss the snow. The nice thing about where I live now is I can be in 6 feet of snow in less than an hour from where I live. My son snowboards at Mt. Hood so at least I still get to see the snow. By the way nice truck and its nice to still see an old Chevy with a snow plow on it and functional.

Re: Plowing snow in Michigan
Jeff,
Nice pictures! Where do you put all the snow? I start running out of room in early January under normal winters. I cannot imagine pushing all of the snow you have push. I think my snow plowing would cease to be fun and turn into work! Jim |
