dimensions for cab dolly?
I would like to build a rig to hold my cab and roll it around the shop (Cab dolly?) but need the dimensions of the frame mounts before I pull it off. Does anyone have these or a bare frame. I basically need measurements of all frame mounts under the cab (distance between and elevation differences). thanks...

Re: dimensions for cab dolly?
IO did a crude one from 2x4's and it has worked for me. This may give you the rough dimensions you need.
Mine made the cab a little high for some things, so I would use the recommended height measurement.

Re: dimensions for cab dolly?
Hey, that seems pretty cheap enought to build is it sturdy?
How do you keep it from sliding off?

Re: dimensions for cab dolly?
thanks for the reply's .
I need one that the cab can bolt onto so I can add it to a rotating assy. Something like Rokcrln's but like a stretcher version so that I can hook up each end and then rotate it 360 degrees. I really just need the body mount measurements I guess... |

Re: dimensions for cab dolly?
the cheapst and best way to make it is to take a stock frame and cut it off in front of front cab mounts and same with rear mounts, i,d weld a x-member between the frame rails to stiffen it ft. & back. weld dolly wheels to bottom at the height you want cab to be. jusy my o2.

Re: dimensions for cab dolly?
72armyswbtruck...the weight of the cab keeps it in place real well. I also could have put some lag scrwes in the mount holes into the wood if I wanted too. I moved mine all over for 6 months or so and not a problem. Right now I am using it as a stand for my fleet bed.
