Reviews on GM's 350 HO?
Close to the big $$ decision and looking for some advise. From what I've in past posts everyone seems to suggest putting a little more money in on the front end and stepping up from the 249 horse GM crate. Can't afford the ZZ4 (much less the 572 ). Anybody bought a 350HO? Good/Bad? Thanks

I have a couple friends that bought them...love them! They felt the power output, and warranty on top of that is very much worth it.
Good luck! |

Hot tip. GMPP just came out with a factory 383 for about $3800.00.I read an article about it in Truckin' I think. It is billed as a replacement motor for trucks and uses vortec heads.I beleive that price was with everything but a carb.
This 383 uses a stock bore, a 3.80 stroke forged crank, powdered metal rods with tapered bolts for strength and to give it clearance from the pan rails. It is also supposed to come in a short block assembly. If you're going crate I would definitely check out this one.
