Anyone ever seen a 64 Convertible?

I found on another board I go to a 64 stepside convertible for sale. I do believe its the first convertible for the 60-66 bodystyle I have seen. Heres the link to the pic http://www.dfwstangs.net/classifieds...k001-large.jpg

Just thought I would share this oddity with you guys haha.

Re: Anyone ever seen a 64 Convertible?

it could be set up as a convertible hard top.set the top on and latch it down.i saw several rice burners like that about ten years ago.

That used to be a trend done on mini trucks back in the 80,s and 90's also along with some guys that did targa tops also.

Unfortunalty, I was part of that trend...well not me personally, I just installed the kit into the mini-f#cks...oops, I mean mini-trucks

Re: Anyone ever seen a 64 Convertible?

There used to be an ice cream co. in Tulsa Ok. that had about 100 of these trucks in their yard, starting from the early 50s trucks. They had a slide in cooler in the bed, and the cabs were cut just like that. They were modified by some co. that did it professionally. Not saying that's what this truck is, but it looks exactly the same. The co. in Tulsa went out in the early 90s, and I tried to find about the trucks. Within about a month, they were all gone, and I never found out where.

Re: Anyone ever seen a 64 Convertible?

Not too slick. Not much of a roadster look either. Wonder what that was all about?

Tho' I think I saw a picture a full custom '64ish-'66ish that had been dropped, chopped, roof gone... and it look okay.
