General questions as I tear my truck apart

I'm tearing my 70 K10 apart and creating the list of what needs to be replaced....

1. The wiring harness looks like a rats nest. Can anyone give me a picture of a fuse block?
Has anyone used the EZWiring harness? What are your comments on it?

2. Where does a stock washer reservoir go, mine is missing and they are in different locations in pics posted on other threads.

3. Where does the radiator overflow mount? I have a antifreeze bottle chicken wired to the grill.

4. The sticker on the glovebox door says my truck came with A/C and now it doesn't have it anymore and there is a patch over the firewall hole. Can anyone give me some good pics of how everything should look (locations of parts inside cab and engine compartment)?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me!

To answer #1, use the Painless kit. It is well laid out and is about as "painless" as you can get and still be realistic.

Iven been hearing questionable things about the Painless harness in THIS and other threads. I bought myself an EZ Wiring 21 circuit harness and although i have not installed it im impressed with the way it is laid out and labeled, should be a breeze to install.

As far as the other questions the only advice I can give is to buy a factory assembly manual and start marking pages. GL with the teardown!

If you are going stock I would use a M&H harness. It is made to exact factory blue prints and plugs right in with no cutting. If you order it they will modify it for HEI and internally regulated altenator. All of the board supporting vendors should be able to get it. Chris

Re: General questions as I tear my truck apart

washer jug goes on the driver side inner fender toward the front
didnt come with coolant recovery system/just a rubber hose that spit on the ground// i believe there was a dealer install option tho
for tha ac unit pics and stuff i'd suggest getting the factory assembly manual most vendors on here carry it or it's available on ebay

Re: General questions as I tear my truck apart

Thanks for the input everyone.

cdowns, I saw a pic of the washer bottle location in another thread so I can use that as a reference.

neonlarry, I've seen the diagrams, I am looking for actual color pics of stock and aftermarket units. I took some at Hot August Nights last summer but my memory card took a dump on me and I lost them all. Most engine compartment pics are focused on the top of the engine so it's hard to see what the a/c equipment looks like. If anyone has pics that they can email me or post, I would appreciate it.
