Does anyone have any good grill pictures
I keep debating on whether or not to build a 47-54 or 55-59 I lean towards the 47-54 but I don't know If I totally am into the front grill, on the 47-53, and was wondering if anyone out there had any places that sold custom grills. Thanks again
This is the stance, and color I like And this is the style grill I'm looking for Last edited by nogaroa4; 01-11-2007 at 03:31 PM. |

Re: Does anyone have any good grill pictures
My '54 grill is unique to the AD trucks. Here it is mocked up before paint and fitment.....

Re: Does anyone have any good grill pictures
nogaroa4, sounds like you're new to this hobby, or unexperienced. Not a bad thing, we've all been there. Metal is our *****, you can make it do anything you want! Pick the bodystyle you want, the parts you want, and combine them (in a hopefully tasteful fashion)!
The grill you like on the second truck is a '57 grill surround, with a billet grill. Wouldn't be too hard to put into an AD truck, as long as you had the donor sheetmetal for it, and could weld it in. This is the first time I've seen that Overhauling '55 first series. Very nice truck! It has '55 Chevy passenger car headlights/eyebrow sheetmetal around the headlights, looks like a '56 Chevy passenger car grill in a stock GMC grill surrond, along with a '55/56 car bumper, and lots of other custom stuff. There is no bolt-on "Overhaulin" front end, something like that will require a lot of time welding, grinding, and filling. I'm found of the AD GMC trucks. They have a nice looking grill. Here's my good buddy Justin's '54 Jimmillac: Cadillac Dagmars (the boobie-looking things) are molded into the stock GMC grill surround. The pic is old, he's really into copper plating, so all kinds of **** is copper plated now, and he's got a Hilborne Fuel Injected Caddy 500, home cast valve covers, Tremec 5 speed, all kinds of other crazy stuff. Re: Does anyone have any good grill pictures
This is a grill idea that I did in Photoshop. I thought it could be cut out of aluminum and polished.
