Cool Tach mount.

I know this has been done to death but i was just wondering. I have a 3 inch sunpro II and tried to mount it on my colum but it won't mount with out turning with the gear lever, or hitting the tilt. I was thinking about the top left of the dash so its out of the way but can't bring myself to drill. is there a way to use one of them sucktion cups to attach a tach?? or i know peice parts moounted his on the pillar did anyone else do somthing simmilar? or since it is an after market dash should i just drill it and be done? thanks

Thanks alot

Re: Tach mount.

Most use the lower screw hole on the windshield piller that holds the plastic. If your doesn't have it then I'd just drill a hole there. I usually leave an inch or so below it for eash dash cleaning. And if you ever go to a 5" you still can use the same hole without issues.
