WTB front fender lower cup, driver side

Looking for a front driver fender cup for my 68. Mine is rusted (as most up north) but the rest of the fender is ok. I have a 67 fender but don't want to cut out my marker light or hack off the cup if I can help it... thanks... shipping is 17042 in PA

Re: WTB front fender lower cup, driver side

they make a patch panel for that nowdays when i first built my 72 they didn't and i had to make my own but what an experience it was i have good driverside fenders its always the passenger side lower cup that goes bad around here due to the battery i'm guessing

Re: WTB front fender lower cup, driver side

patch is $40 new or a new fender for $130 ... with the talent I have in welding I might just wait for a new fender in the spring unless someone has a part that I can use!

Where are you guys finding driver's side patches? All I can seem to find are the passenger side cups...

Re: WTB front fender lower cup, driver side

There are not any left fender cups available as replacements that I know of. I bought a cup from a fellow board member that cut it from an original fender. Other than replacing the whole fender that is the only option.

Re: WTB front fender lower cup, driver side

I hadn't searched that hard for a cup but I guess that would explain why I only found pass cups...

Re: WTB front fender lower cup, driver side

I have a '67 front fender that is in pretty descent shape and if you ant I can cut the cup and ship just the cup. I just bought two inner fenders, outer fenders, core support, cowl hood and sport bumper. Doing the GMC-Chevy conversion.

Re: WTB front fender lower cup, driver side

They only make pass. side fender cups as aftermarket replacements since it is the common area to rust from the original unsealed batteries leaking out. Most trucks will have rusted batt box, inner fender, core support under the battery and the lower fender cup rusted out.

Re: WTB front fender lower cup, driver side

Well, the good news for you is that I'm pretty positive that the lower fender cups for all years 67-72 should be the same shape and size so you ought to be able to find one pretty easily off of another fender and cut and patch in.
