short or long water pump?
Since I am redoing my engine and accessory drive system completely in my truck and adding a/c and power steering, I need to decide if I should use a short or long water pump setup.
Which one has pulleys and brackets more readily avaliable? and wich one is "easier" to get all the accessories to line up? thoughts? Comments? Thanks

Re: short or long water pump?
The "long" water pumps have a larger shaft (3/4" vs. 5/8") and bearing - - so should be stronger and last longer. I would think accessories would be more readily available as well. Only problem might be clearance since it's closer to the radiator but I don't think so.

Re: short or long water pump?
it is only gonna be a SBC and I will be using dual electric fans so clearance shouldn't be an issue, I don't think
