Love your truck!! keep it that ride height and put some 18-20 inch wheels with low profile tires

Re: almost finished 70 swb
That truck looks great. A little drop 2-4 would look even better. If you do get different rims let me know and I might take those off your hands for you. Good job so far.

Re: almost finished 70 swb
Your wheel and tire combo that you choose, and the type of look (stance) will make all the difference in how the truck presents its look to you. Everyone will have a look or style that they like, but that doesen't mean that it right for you. Different parts of the country will have different types of looks. I've been doing these 67-72 truck for over 30 years and I have seen all the styles come and go, but the one style that remains the same for these trucks when it comes to lowering is to have a nice gap between the tire and the fender app two fingers, give or take. The perfict wheel tire combo for driving and handeling, (i'll use a generic term using 15 inch wheel size) is 255-60 15 tires on 8 inch wheeles in the front and 275-60-15 tires on 10 wheeles in the back. This combo fills out the wheel well and gives the tire sidewall the same bulge front and rear. The drop to do this is 4 inch in the front and anywhere between 4 and 6 inches in the rear, depending how you are going to use the truck. There are many types of componets to lower the truck, I perfer to use 2 inch dropped a-frames with 2inch lowerering coils and a 4 inch coil in the rear (on coil rear trucks) and maybe combine it with a 2 inch lowering block (but then requires a frame notch) I could go on and on but this will give you a general idea.

Really sharp '70 there...luv the bed and steering wheel especially...
btw...IMHO...4" drop all 'round, on 17" wheels.

Re: almost finished 70 swb
Very nice truck, I love the green. Where are you planning on putting your license plate? I had a '99 Sonoma with a smooth roll pan and my plate in the back window and was getting pulled over for it repeatedly.

Re: almost finished 70 swb
that is a stunning truck throw a nice 2/4 drop on it with some 18's in the front and 20's on the back and that would be a show stopper or heck even with the wheels thats on it its just fine but a mild drop would help it in my opinion or atleast drop it 2 inches in the back to level it out
