aftermarket rims
I saw some rims at a car show a while back they had bigger center caps with slices all around and chevrolet written in the middle, on the outer inner part there were slices of metal as well. i dont have the best memory so this picture is pretty sorry

Sounds like a Corvette turbine(?) wheel to me . Searck for corvettes and look at the wheels . Might be what you were looking at . Frank
