6" spring and bolt in notch

How much travel do you have when you do a 6" spring drop and a bolt in c-notch between the axle and notch? I am thinking of going to a 6" drop in the rear and going 2" more in the front to get it on the ground.

I have a 7" drop in the back and a 3" notch and there is plenty of clearance. don't have access to measure right now but its prob 4-5".

Is that with a stock floor? I have a wood bed and don't want to change anything like that

My trucks has bags, 1.5" blocks & a bolt-in style c-notch. The top of the rearend hits the bed floor before the axle tubes bottom out in the notch. A 6" drop w/this style notch would work fine.

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

Your wood will go unchanged. I see no problem whatsoever in doing what your thinking about.
Scoti how big is your notch that you are hitting the bed first? just curious.

My notch is the 'standard' bolt-in style notch offered by CCP.

I have removed the factory bumpstops on the outer frame rails so the center of the rear-end housing hits my wooden bed floor (or what's left of it) before the axle tubes hit the top of the notch.
