PS box / Pitman arm questions
I went to install my new power steering Box (upgrading from manual) over the weekend, and found that my kit, while it included the Box, pitman arm, hoses and pump ($200 for the kit), It didn't have the nut that holds the pitman arm.
does anybody know where i can find this nut? I found it at one of the online companies for $3, but my bookmark seems to have dissappeared, and now i cant remember where it was... Also, when installing the new box, how do you determine that it is centered before putting on the pitman arm (wheels straight forward), and hooking up the steering shaft. Any tips?

Re: PS box / Pitman arm questions
make sure the wheels are straight then turn you power steering box all the way one way then as you turn it all the way the otherway count how many turns it took then turn it back half that many turn to get the box to the center and then put on the pitman arm. Thats how I did mine.

You can have one of my nuts. My wife makes sure I don't use them anyway.

I originally had manual steering - pulled that, installed power. Nut and lockwasher were fine. Curious to know if your experience is the same.

Re: PS box / Pitman arm questions
I just pulled the pitman arm nut and lockwasher off my old non-power setup and it worked with the new one. Polished it up, sprayed it and screwed it back on.
