I got Friday off and I'm gonna hit the Reno/Sparks & Carson City Pick-N-Pull's. I generally focus on 73-87 Trucks and Blazers, But, I'm willing to keep an eye out for your requests.

NEED MORE INFO: Do you need the 2 "L" shaped brackets that bolt to the core support horizontally or the 2 that are flatter and bolt down from the top?

Wow what a nice idea. i'm looking for saddle colored seat belts for a 78 truck, needs to have good plastic on the locking mechanism that comes up through the seats. I'm also looking for the caps that go over the door pull strap for a 78. And last the little chrome caps that go on the a/c & heater control panel, you know the ones that slide.

I might be able to help you out. I often go to bone yards and they have alot of our year trucks and blazers. I ussually can't find what i need but do find alot of other stuff. For the heater controls i can help you out but it would take a while. I have five dirrent ones i have pulled off diffrent years when ever i go to the bone yard. I am at school now so i can't help you as fast though. But if you still need them or the door pull covers shoot me a pm

One of the things I have also been looking for is the full black lower trim set from an 89-91 suburban. If you ever came across that I would be a happy puppy. I know trim can be reused if carefully removed. If it isn't in good shape, don't bother. (Trim is like the lower black trim on this burb. My stock chromed pieces are rusted out and discoloring.)



Hey, I gotta give you SOMETHING easy to do...

I could also go for some cherry stock red tail light lenses. Not just runner. I already have those. No scratches, shiny and not dull. Basically like new.

I need the small chrome plastic covers for the door pull straps out of an 88 Suburban. Should be the same for a lot of years. Just the little 3 prong pieces that covers the screw. Picture attached.

Wedgmon I'm sorry if that sounded demanding. I was trying to make sure you knew which parts I needed. I've been to seven salvage yards here in my city. Everytruck I walk upto has the rad, brackets, and the shroud removed already. The dealership I called said they "may" have the parts in stock. It was like 45 minutes away, so I wasn't really up for such a trip that might end in a dead end road. I really appreciate you taking your time to look out for the brackets for me, rather you find them or not.

OK, After spraining my ankle this morning, I managed only one of the two yards I was gonna visit.

Didn't score well on the list . . . You guys are tough.

- Upper Rad brackets (x2) for 84 (L or flat??) Found a few for 3 row but no larger 4 row type.
- Rear Sport Bumper Bracketry 86 c10 Fleet. Found one 87 - wasn't sure if it was compatible and one side was slightly bashed.
- Saddle colored belt set 78 - found a 75 a 76 and a 80. None were very nice so I passed.
- Door pull strap cap ends 78 - Picked over
- HVAC chrome slider knobs 78 -Picked over
- Door pull strap cap ends 88 Sub - Got 4 nice chrome ones off an 90 sub, will post pics later so you can let me know if they'll work.
- Lower black trim 88 sub - Many air dams - all broken. Bo & Luke style!
- Pristine tail light lenses 88 sub - The 90 sub was close but I had no torx with me. Read on further...
- P/S/ Bracket and possibly pump for 6 cyl 67-72 - Found a 68 6cyl... BUT, was manual steering.
- Red interior pieces 78 (Bright red) - zero


But, sore as my foot is now, some hop laden general anesthetic tonight and a couple Advil, and I think I'm going to Carson City tomorrow. So all is not lost. I'll keep looking.

I'll post picks and explain my other scores later tonight.
