New Project, transmission question
This is my Brother's 84 Suburban. Lately, he's been saying he wants to start driving it so once I am going to be working on that very soon. It has a 454 right now, but it needs to be rebuilt. To make things easier (and hopefully not as expensive) I am going to put in a good 350 for him...the engine was in my 71 chevy. My question deals with the flexplate. The Burb has a Th-400 in it and my 350 has a flexplate for a TH-350. Will I have to buy a different flex plate for the 350 or will what I have bolt up to the torque converter in the TH-400? Also, sorry if this is a stupid question, will the torque converter I have on my '71 TH-350 work on the '84 TH-400. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
