Your GMC truck stories
I'm trying to put together GMC truck stories and would love to hear what your stories are.
I've been researching GMC truck stories but am limited to what GM can provide. If you can help me with WWII GMC trucks tales, stories your father told you about his GMC truck or legendary things you did with your truck I would really appreciate it. email me at miles.markovic@maclaren.com. Thanks. |

GMC = Chevy or Chevy=GMC
I have one for ya! In 1978, right before I moved out to Arizona. I was building a house. The guy who was my clearing contractor (tree and stump removal), had just came back from picking up his "brand new" 1979 GMC Pickup.
Well, he was p'od! And MAD too! The GMC was GMC on the drivers side and Chevy on the passenger side. I mean emblems were mixed up from side to side and inside the cab the steering wheel horn button was a Chevy insignia. I mean the hub caps were even different! Again, on the drivers side they were GMC hubcaps but on the passenger side (YOU GUESSED IT) they were Chevrolet! This guy swore he would never buy a GMC again! He had been a die hard GMC buyer. Must have been a Friday or a Monday at the truck plant that day! Ha Ha! rico_bob (aka: Richard in MI- home of General Motors)  Chevy/GMC no diff's!
