Seat and Transmission Questions
Okay first question is, can someone snap a picture of the passenger side seat track, particularly the reatiner. Mine doesn't work, well, it does until weight is put on it, and then it unlocks and can slide forward.
Second, is about a B&M shift improver kit for my TH350. Is it worth it? Does it stiffen up the 1-2 shift or what? Do you have to pull the tranny or just the pan? Just wondering. My tranny shifts really smoothly right now, but it might be good to shorten and stiffen it a little. Also, did you put the stage one (RV/towing), or stage two (street/strip) in? Thanks guys, Justin

Re: Seat and Transmission Questions
I've never used that particular kit but when I used to work at a trans shop we used to put in shift kits all the time to firm up the shifts. You just drop the pan and work on the valve body. It's REAL easy.I remember on some you had to drill out a passage with the bit they provided, and some other real easy stuff.I'll let others who have used those particular kits describe their qualities, but if I had to guess,I'd say the first level would be fine unless you like a jolt on every shift at any speed, but I'm guessing here.-Brian

Re: Seat and Transmission Questions
the kit is worth every penny... as far as the setting, that depends on what your doing with your truck. I had a th350 with the street strip and it would chirp second if I wanted it to.

Re: Seat and Transmission Questions
Well, it'll be a fun street truck. I think chirpin them would be pretty cool, but I also don't want to hit my head on the steering wheel from the jerk of the shift. I don't know how hard it shifts exactly. Thanks guys, anyone else??

Re: Seat and Transmission Questions
Ive used he b&M kit before, it was nice, shifted smooth if I was just cruzen in drive, shifted harder if I got on it, and if I shifted it manualy it would bark 2nd real good. I used the street and strip mode. the race mode is toooooooo harsh for daily driving unless you like to rattle your fillings out.
