This Board rocks
I know it has been said...but
This is the best board on the planet. There are a number of folks who know a lot about these trucks and more. From Day 1 I have been amazed at the corporate knowledge about these trucks on here. With that being said...I have not seen one cross word from anyone. It could have been said "Why don't you search for it and not bother us with the simple stuff"...or some other not so kind comment. I do not think a board exists out there that is as friendly as this one. I wish we could all meet at Kevin's (LFD) and pull up a stool, have a soda, eat some snacks...watch Kevin weld and grind all the time have a great time. We could get out to Longhornman's in Columbus and eat dome DiCarlo's Pizza and sit around and be amazed at the vast amount of data in his head. I know I am forgetting friendly folks like cdowns, pritch, and heck I cannot even recall all the names. Go ahead and pat yourselves on the back. You guys are the best.

Re: This Board rocks
This board is awesome! Some of the 350Z boards I frequent are full of posts that are nothing but people shouting at you to "use the search function" and calling you a"noob". Most of these guys are more concerned with their post count than helping out a fellow enthusiast. I have learned a lot from this board and met a lot of nice people! I'm also a member of a Farmall Cub board where aboout half the guys are concerned with wether or not you have the correct type cotter keys and grease for your restoration . They refer to themselves as the resto police.

Re: This Board rocks
I was introduced to this terrific site by Lamar (who I "met" thru an ebay parts-purchase from him).
Everybody's been GREAT, despite a few stupid questions from me. I lurk everyday I can, and have learned more in a few months than I would have in years searching for answers on my own. Still have nothing but a "plain-Jane" driver, but it's slowly getting better than it was when I started my journey. |

Re: This Board rocks
I love it here! None of my friends/family understand my love affair with mine, or any beautifully done 67-72, but everyone here does, and the way that you are greeted when you get up enough nerve to do your first post, so many people jump in & say Hi! & Welcome from all over the united states & even from other countries, it's truly amazing. I am very thankful for all the wonderful people here that make this site so great, and all the knowledge that is shared about our trucks, thanks everyone!

Re: This Board rocks
Besides all the help you get on this board the amazing thing is how fast you will get an answer. I have always loved the "what is this" thread where a pic is posted & within about 2 minutes you have answers. Why can't the whole world run as good as this place?

I agree with you all, this is a great site! I have gotten a lot of helpful information from here. Unfortunately I have not gotten far on my truck but it will happen. I look forward to meeting some of you in July!

Re: This Board rocks
I agree, most of the time I am just learning, but there are times I have the right answer, and even when I have been wrong, or just mistaken, the rebuke is respectful, thanks for such a great site and for putting up with those of us who are novice and ask the same dumb questions.

Re: This Board rocks
What a buncha jerks! Why don`t you just have a group hug,for cryin`out loud?Let`s just start a "This Site Rocks" section for all this mushy stuff.
As far as helpful, give me a break. If I listened to all this hot air on here I`d be lucky my truck even ran,I`d have spent twice what I needed, and ended up with bubble gum for firewall grommets,zip-ties holdin`my radiator in,duct tape for rocker panels, and baling twine connecting my two wipers.

Re: This Board rocks
Hey special-k, I like my baling twine wiper linkage! But the bubble gum grommets do melt in the summer....
And yes, this site is immensely helpful.
