Any experience with Summit brand engine parts?
I noticed Summit Racing has thier own brand engine parts for very cheap. A camshaft/lifter kit is $70. Piston ring set for $20. This seems suspiciously cheap to me. Does it have any quality, or is just get what you pay for kind of junk?

Re: Any experience with Summit brand engine parts?
I have had great experience with ordering from Summit. I have bought numerous small items from them. They send you an email confirmation right away, and another when it goes out the door so you can track shipping.
I bought my GM RamJet 350 from them. They beat every deal on the net, shipped for free and had it in stock when I was ready to make the order....

Also spent thousands w/ them on the truck and a car. They even payed half to have my RCI fuel cell rewelded across the bottom because it cracked even though it was a month after the warranty had expired. I haven't done many of their brand of engine parts, but w/ their return policy and how great they are to deal with, I doubt you will have any issues with it and if you do I'm sure they'll b great about it.

Re: Any experience with Summit brand engine parts?
I have used alot of their internal engine parts (summit brand) on street and race rebuilds never had any problems with them, they have a name to uphold and work well with you also. Alot of there engine parts are from popular brand names rebadged as Summit brand since they are such a high profile company dealing in high quantity sales, quality does not seem to be deminised IMO.

Re: Any experience with Summit brand engine parts?
i've bought many parts from summit and they are tops for customer service as well as good performing parts of their own line. i've got a set of alt. and pwr. steering brackets for a long wtr. pump set-up on my '49 gmc and they fit grest the first time and there was zero issues w/ quality . thats why if i cant get what i need at my local advance auto i'll only go to summitracing!

Re: Any experience with Summit brand engine parts?
there customer serive is great and their shipping. i think their summit brand products aren't worth a dang. bought a line-lock from them and the hole wher the brake fliud flows through was drilled off center, went to bleed the brakes and had mt rustmore comin outta the fittings. had to repaint my innerfnedre fromw ehre it stripped off the paint. also their summit brand tachometers do not read accurate or last. chris.

Re: Any experience with Summit brand engine parts?
I have used Summit branded parts. I have used their cam and lifter kits, timing chains (speed-pro box), bearings (clevite CL-77), rings (trw), and gaskets (fel-pro). I also bought Summit headers (pacesetter), and a torque converter(TCI). They use quality parts in their boxes. I am "value oriented" so their branded parts are fine by me.
