* * * SOLD * * * Fresh 700R4 ready to go....
I have decided to sell the freshly rebuilt 700R4 tranny that is in the Blazer (0 miles). It has new convertor and it was professionally rebuilt by Dunn Transmissions (notoriously known for top of the line rebuilds) of Tyler, Texas.
I have $900 in it but would like $750 + shipping (if applicable). Please respond here. First come, first served. Responders will have 5 days to make payment before I move on to the next person in line. Let me know of any questions you may have. BTW, I have decided to go with a 5-speed manual. Thanks, Mark P.S. It does have the Corvette servos. Last edited by FuelCellGuy; 03-11-2007 at 10:23 AM. Reason: More information... |

Re: Fresh 700R4 ready to go....
The tranny is the early "good" style. I can't remember exactly what year it is. It is a stock convertor so, stall speed?? It is still for sale.

Re: Fresh 700R4 ready to go....
I just sold my car yesterday so that I could put a 700R in my truck.
I was going to go with a Bowtie Overdrive stage 2. Before I commit to buying this, I would have to know some more about it. I understand if you don't know, but I suspect that Dunn would be able to tell me more if you have something I can tell them. I suppose the warranty is either out or wouldn't transfer, so that is a bummer, but a savings of $350 sure does help. If you can give me something to talk to Dunn Transmissions with (rebuild info, rebuild package, anything that they can tell me about that rebuild), then I will go from there. Example, I know this about the Stage 2 from Bowtie Overdrives: http://www.700r4.com/trans/level2.shtml I'd like to get the same info on that transmission. I don't plan on replacing it anytime soon, and I need to know more than "it's the good early style and has the Corvette servo's". Just being honest with you here. I have cash in hand. DLB |

Re: Fresh 700R4 ready to go....
If you will call and talk to Chad and tell him that you are thinking of buying a transmission that he built for a 1/2 ton truck, he will be able to tell you everything he did. Chad buils all the "street rod/hot rod" transmissions there. Thier nuber is (903) 593-4891. Hope this helps. Thans, Mark

Re: Fresh 700R4 ready to go....
TTT for you.
I went a different route - but no bad thoughts on this transmission. I just had a better option come up. Thanks. DLB |
