Water pump swap

I found coolant leaking from the bottom hose of my block yesterday, probably the water pump. How hard is this to do, I dont have much time.

I may have the shop do it, at what price are they taking me for a ride?

Re: Water pump swap

It’s not hard, save the money and do it yourself. Drain fluid, remove fan, remove hose(s), 4 bolts. Clean gasket area install new pump with new gaskets in reverse order. I don’t think I missed anything, its really simple. You can remove the fan shroud to give you more room too.

Re: Water pump swap

just replaced my waterpump on my '71 C20 with a 350. Took a couple of hours, but I went ahead and replaced the hoses and belts since I was in there.
