"4 Wheel Drive" Emblems

Now,I am pretty sure they didnt come originally on 4x4 chevy trucks.I bought some good fenders for my 71 4x4 and they had "4 Wheel Drive" Emblems on them. They came off a 69 Chevy 4x4.I am pretty sure the fenders are not off a blazer,as the truck is all original. So,am I wrong,or did someone drill holes in the fenders and install them?I kind of like the emblems, they go with my project but I dont think I will put them on the truck unless they originally had them.Maybe these will hit the parts board, cause even if they did come with them originally,I would buy new ones

Re: "4 Wheel Drive" Emblems

They are factory installed... when they used that location for the "4 wheel drive" emblem a few got the engine badge "8-350" etc underneath the c/10, cst/10 fender badges.... hope that helps...

Re: "4 Wheel Drive" Emblems

Yep the 350 emblems were under the Custom Deluxe emblems. Thanks for the info.I guess since the 71s didnt have these I will leave them off.I guess the 350 emblem can go back in the spot the 4x4 emblem is.Maybe if I put a 69-70 grill in I will keep them but I doubt I do.
