can i get a pic of what kind of bracket you guys are running with the tv cable and intake. Have a regular gm alminum intake 1406 edlb carb and bracket fram summit. and spacer from autozone bracket only long enough to hook in hole by throttle linkage

I took the one that I got from Preimere Performance (Now JET) and remodeled it to a better design and then made my own.

BTO is the ONLY way to go, in my opinion.

Not a good pic, but only one I got.

I can post a better one tomorrow of the completed set-up if needed.

The cable plugs into the BTO bracket and you add a cam device to your carb (everything is included in the kit). Seriously, it took about 1/2 hour to install. I had the pan off the tranny and adjusted it by checking the plunger depth and then I fine tuned it using a trans pressure gage.

i got the bracket that bolts to the intake where the square part of the tv cable clicks in and it bolts right up to the manifold and than i got a B&M cable and B&M adapter that bolted to my edelbrock carb. i havent had a problem since.

I would agree with the bto guys, thats where mine come from, along with the braided tv cable. There sight also has plenty of insight of setting pressures , which is so critical on these trannys. good luck

The problem isnt so much the bracket, when using the TV cable for the 700R4 or 200R4 most any bracket will work, the real problem with most carbs is the linkage angle on the carb for the TV cable isnt correct, it has to be right or you will be fighting to get the trans to shift properly. Hollleys, Edle, Demons and a few others need the adapter for the carb and BTO's kit gives you the adapter you need and a proper fitting throttle/tv cable adapter.

i had the BTO and think it is a waste of money. i never could get it adjusted properly. i ended up getting a factory bracket and have not had any trouble since. the part number for the factory bracket is #14077903. it cost me $9 which is a hell of alot better than $125 for the bto kit.

I'm surprised to hear that, I thought it was pretty simple to adjust. I couldn't get the correct adjustment with the factory bracket and my Edelbrock.
