Red face 70 doors vs 72 doors

When I painted my '70 I got new door panels for my doors not knowing that I actually had 72 doors on it - the screw holes don't line up. I don't really want to get new doors, but to keep it more original, I may have to - is there any easy way to change them to accept the 70 panels or am I just being ignorant...?

Re: 70 doors vs 72 doors

Ignorant --no. Silly---maybe. Is this a nut and bolt restoration?? IF not, who will really pick it out? IS your distributor and carb correct originals?? The 72 doors on a truck are slightly different but you can use all the 70 hardware with some minor modification. The 72 dimples under the vent windows for screw reinforcement---were used on almost every year (69-72) of the Blazers so----who says what Chevy did when and why???? My .02!!
