What did y'all get done this weekend?

I finished the assembly of the front and rear axles for the 71 4x4 and if it stops raining I might go put the cab on the truck..

Re: What did y'all get done this weekend?

I hate to rub it in, but it's 70 degrees hear with a slight chance of rain! With that, I fixed the springs in the seat, covered it, and got it installed. The new dash pad is in, along with new door handles, window cranks , and a new regulator in the passenger door. Oh, and customized door panels. I should be driving it for work this week. Next up, new CD deck, speakers, and an antenna.

Side note - Why does everything seem to take twice as long as I think it should?

I spent all day today shoveling 2+ feet of snow from my driveway.

the 72 is currently a snowbank.

Found out my MC is leaking fluid into the cab and the back resivoir is completely empty. Looks like I need a new MC and the truck is parked until then.

Re: What did y'all get done this weekend?

Soccer most of Saturday. Saturday evening finished cleaning up and shooting some paint on the replacement door for the daughter's Bonneville. Touched up a few spots on the car while I was at it. Today after we got mom back on the road to her school sight we put some new wheels on the Radio Flyer. I swapped out the doors on the Bonneville, got it hung and aligned then swapped the guts from her banged up door into the new door. Few little touch ups and I'll put on the interior panels later this week.

Then it was some more soccer with the son.

HEAR HEAR!

My work times this weekend were: Started at about 10:00pm on Friday and worked until about 3:00am Sat. morning. Then Saturday 8:00am to 9:00pm.

I accomplished the following:
Removal of - TH350 tranny, flywheel, oil pan gasket, 2-piece drive shaft, cross member, pitman arm, and lots of grease, grime, and dirt.

Installation of - 700R4 tranny, flywheel, oil pan gasket, 1-piece drive shaft (it's actually being shortened today to go back in tonight, but that's a snap), cross member, and pitman arm.

It was a lot of work in 18 hours time.

I found my problem last night late after it was dark and the parts stores were closed so I troubleshoot this problem today and am back watching the race by 4PM.

Re: What did y'all get done this weekend?

I actually worked on my GMC
Pulled out the old busted windshield(thanks to LocDoc's tips) and POR15'ed the rim where there was some rust.
Now comes the fun part..putting the new one in.

Re: What did y'all get done this weekend?

Well started fabricating my own passenger fender lower cup from scratch, all of the inner looked really good but was a pain to make the outer all curved with out the proper tools. I then proceeded to cut up a rust free 68 fender to steal the cup off of but do not like the idea of nothing to go by while lining it up, then I proceeded to take a perfectly repaired shaved fender and ground out all of the bodyfiller to un-shave the side marker, was pissed about that too, so now I am going in the morning to pick up another complete rust free clip to steal the fenders off of. So hard to please myself. Good thing I am not paying someone to build my truck. I am such a pain in the arse.
