One word for you: AFTERMARKET.

You can get aftermarket kits that neatly bolt under the dash and only require an inlet and outlet hose to go through the firewall. Modern, efficient, works better than stock, and you get good A/C and heat in one package.

I'm guessing he is going with an aftermarket a/c-heater from Vintage Air or....?

Wow, great progress!!!

One question: Are you concerned with the cab rusting from the inside out because it was submerged underwater?

Thanks for saving another classic!

Re: im new here... heres my progress on hurricane katrina project

Those are repo doors and fenders? Does the OEM grille work good with the aftermarket fenders? How about the doors? Much trouble getting them to fit properly?

Looks pretty cool. I bought that same hood a few months ago. I also plan to get a new sheet metal for the front.
