Newby here !

Hi ,
just recently joined up because i just recently bought a 1970 c-10
1/2 ton long box 350/350 lil rusty but very clean and very original
maybe some of you have experience or imput :
i want to lower my truck , some maybe a 2.5 drop spindle F and 5" rear
but im thinking rear bags would be cool but can they haul anything ?
i know semis use em so they have potential
this truck is for hauling my bike and going to the dump , whatever it needs
to do
thanks for any suggestions

I'll dig around the garage. I'm not sure but I might have some lower trim for you.

Re: Newby here !

nice rig... a CST to boot! That 8 track might be worth some coin... some ppl really dig the old dealer add ons. Other than the little bit of rust, it looks like a clean ride, how many miles does it have?
Believe it or not, the wheels look better painted white, esp if you come across the caps and rings you are looking for.

Re: Newby here !

Welcome! The drop you want should be fine for light hauling like you describe. The green truck in this picture has the same drop. It's all Early Classic parts, 2.5" drop spindle up front with a new factory height spring. Out back are 5" drop coils and a super track bar kit.

Justin, Maybe yours are upside down! Every truck I've seen has them with the rounded part of the lens directly behind the bulb. The reflective part of the lens goes toward the bottom where there isn't a bulb.

Re: Newby here !

Hey Longhorn Man,
i show 57k on the odo , but hey who know it could be 257k ? dunno
the interior is pretty solid , not sure on these trucks how long the seat covers last if you look close theres no wear on the seat bottom ?
as for the wheels I plan on painting them silver or argent more oem
looking. Maybe if Nascar raced trucks back then I'd leave em black
as of right now my plan is to keep it looking mostly stock but with a lower
stance rumbly exhaust might even keep that funny shade of green on top ?
anyone here have that color thats not all faded ?
if i could someday get decent MPG I'd make it a daily driver
of course that would involve o/d of some sort
I'm getting tired of my Scion XB but at 30+ MPG gotta do it

Re: Newby here !

see ten ,
sorry to reply to my own reply
but YES that green truck looks great stance wise

so the front has factory style springs ? , looks lower than I would have
thought but GOOD !
