Re: tail lights ?

TTT for ya. I don't "need" reverse lights in Louisiana, but I would like them if they wouldn't look too bad.

Re: tail lights ?

I like vintage Stepside tail lamps.Like,`53 or earlier.Mount them down near the bumper.Hide bright lights behind the bumper aimed at the ground for reverse. These trucks only came with one backup light.

Re: tail lights ?

Don't know about reverse lights yet but I may try a set of these for my tail/stop/turn lights http://www.gemstreetrods.com/led_tail_lights.htm. If anyone has any thoughts on the LED lights let me know.

Although, I don't know if i have to have reverse lights in Illinois. Guess i need to check on that one to be sure.

Re: tail lights ?

Thanks for the info. How about 90's Cadilac tail lights? would they fit in the spot next to the tailgate?

Re: tail lights ?

I want to use the 55-59 tail lights like tim christian did with the stock bumper. I was thinking that maybe you could put some small driving lights like the "custom" front bumpers for our trucks and use them as reverse lights. Or you could possibly put a few superbright leds on the sides of the license plate but still on the bracket itself, that way they would be pretty much un-noticable until they came on. Just throwing some ideas out there.
