Seatbelts?
Did our trucks come standard with a middle seatbelt? I know some trucks also had the harness style (over the shoulder) but mine is the lap belt w/a middle black. It has the original outer tan colored ones, but is this black one suppose to be in my truck? Just curious to know....

Hey Aaron, How's it going?
The center seat belt is optional for the 68's and I think all years in our series. (not sure though) Option AM3 would get you a center seat belt. It sounds like that black belt on you truck was added later. Option A85 (Very rare) would get you the Shoulder harness. ------------------ Unrestored 68 C-10 CST. 327 4-Speed. 48,000 miles. Center belts were an option. I think a lot depended on the locale on whether or not center belts were installed. Around western Michigan, very few trucks in the yards were equipped and you need a belt with the male end on it like the ones made for the center to make it work. The buckle part is the same as the outer belts so that part has not been hard to find.

My '67 has no center seatbelt (or shoulder straps) I have a bench seat, and my belts are blue.

I have nevr seen factory shoulder harnesses, nor center belts. LonghornJeff has them both on his Longhorn though.

My '69 Custom didn't have one, but I took one from the back seat of a Burb.
