Question Longhorn or 9ft. stepside 4x4?

Anybody ever seen or built a Longhorn or 9ft. stepside 4x4? It seems that with all of the dare to be different crowd (I'm one of them) both should have been built by now...

How about a 4dr. 9ft. stepside 4x4 dually with a Cummins & a Roadranger trans- now that might be something I would do

I'll sell you my 38's- I want to put it back on 33's. They only have a few K on them. I'd sell them w/ or w/o the rims (new when I got the tires also).

If Dustin don't take you up on buying the wheels and tires id like to have them. I love the stance of your truck im shooting for that look. I got a 1/2 ton with 40s on it . also got that customcamper/20 bigblock truck that i can't get sold so i guess its going to be a 4x4 sence i already have a 72 3/4 ton 4x4 running gear setup.

Re: Longhorn or 9ft. stepside 4x4?

Cool. I'll start thinkin price & let you know soon. I'll get some pics too. My truck is just a lawn ornament right now, but I'll have to find something for temporary use, or start lookin at 33's.

Are you going to the Norwood meet? I'm thinking about it.

Re: Longhorn or 9ft. stepside 4x4?

Ed,I spent my money on tires for the 71.Anything I buy now is for the motor and body for the 71.The longhorn isnt mine, but I could go pick it up in a weekend...You go ahead and get the tires.Let me have first dibs on the 4x4 you bought off ebay if you ever sell it though I was wanting it so bad...

Re: Longhorn or 9ft. stepside 4x4?

Ed, here's some pics of the tires/ wheels. they are dingy looking, but I'm sure they will clean up nice- I wanted you to see them how they are & not all shined up as if I'm trying to make them pretty. 13-38-16 TSL's on 16x10 wheels (American Racing IIRC). I don't think they make them in 16x10 anymore, they were tough to get 4 years or so ago when I got them. Tires are repair- free, never been dismounted since new.

$750 if you can pick them up here, or possibly at the meet. Don't know for sure yet if I'm going. I do have a trucker friend that runs everywhere, might be able to arrange something with him.

Let me know ya/na so I can post them in the classifieds if you don't want them.

Jeff

Thanks! When I first seen it, It made me think of my son & put me into one of those uncontrollable laugh/ crying fits. I haven't had much to laugh about for years (closed shop, went back to a job, moved to where I don't know anyone, wife left & my son is with her in Ne. etc, etc) so I tend to go off the deep when I finally laugh. There is a longer version of that avatar that is better, but I haven't been able to find it.

Ed, just let me know when you are thinking of coming over. Anything else you might be lookin' for?
