Dana 60 Rear
Or,does it have 14 bolts holding on the cover?If it does,then its a 14 bolt.

I got it here in Oklahoma it was in Shawnee, not sure where it originated from. I got chassis and bed, no wheels

I'll have to round some up, gonna start my ground up with this 3/4 ton.

bummer, I was hopin it was a big block truck, that woulda netted you 3.54 gearing in that dana. Probably a 4.10 seeing that it was an automatic

I plan on usding a 700r4 trans, behind a 383. should still do ok on hwy, shouldn't it??

That frame is shiney

.4.10s with o/d is a great combo,I think.You`ll have the pulling power/torque of the gearing,then a good cruising rpm once running along.Do some research on the 700r4.They can be built to be alot tougher than stock.If you can find a 4L80E from a diesel`93 or earlier,that would be great.They use a "stand alone" ecm that just controls the tranny.In other words,you want to find it in a donor vehicle.4L60Es are good,just not as tough.Like the difference between a TH350 and a TH400.An even better,IMHO,route to take would be to run a good ol`TH tranny with a GearVendors auxilary o/d.I`m spendin`your money now.The o/d runs around $2,500,IIRC.

I've got a buddy that races, has been on Pinks once, anyway he has a 700R4 in a 80's Malibu and runs over 500hp, and has had no problems with the trans. I'm gonna use his builder for mine.

Depending on what you'll be using the truck for, the 700 is a kinda weak tranny.
By the time you get it to live behind the aformentioned 500 horse engine, you coulda had a gear vendors, and had 6 speeds, and be way stronger.
If it is just a driver, hooked to a stock, or very mild small block, then ignore my comments.

I'm probably looking at 300-350hp, and it will be a driver and working truck, no sense in having a truck just to look at IMHO.

Definately lookslike oklahoma vehicle. picked up mine down near enid wasnt sure if it was dirty rust or rusty dirt
