frame paint
what is the best paint to use on the frame
my dad had some black epoxy paint left over from something so i used it this is what it looked like when finished it has been drying for a day and still seems wet any idea how long for it to dry? |

yes it says an equal amount of hardener as paint and i used 6 cups of each

Epoxy paint with hardener should be dry to the touch in about an hour at about 70 degree's.

Left over is the key. Hardener and paint has a shelf life. It should have been dry to the touch in an hour even if you put it on with a garden hose.

I agree with the guys above me "IF" it's an automotive paint, but if it's an industrial epoxy like rustoleum high solids mastic epoxy it will take longer even when new. I did two frames within the last 6 months with rustoleum and in a heated garage it took about 48 hrs @ 70 to dry. Also epoxy is temp. sensitive, if you don't keep it above 60 until it cures it may never harden correctly.
