Quick Ratio Box
I know it's been discussed before, but I'm too impatient to look through a bunch of threads for the info I'm looking for.
1. I know later boxes are quicker....what years will bolt right in and what's the cut off before they went to metric? I have access to a 76 box. 2. If I buy new, who has the best deal on a quick ratio box? 3. For the one's that have done it.......1-10 scale, worth it? Thanks!

Re: Quick Ratio Box
From what I have read the 76 box seems like the box of choice.
Here's a link to a steering quickener that I have use in my race cars (circle track). If/when I build my 2wd I was thinking on going this route and building a bracket close to the box to mount one. It may make your steering quicker than your needs as I will be building a kinda street rod that will handle a curve but an option for you. The one thing you do have to keep in mind is power steering is a must with one of these quickeners. RJ22 http://www.stockcarproducts.com/steer4.htm |
