Smile VANS < VANS < VANS !!

Its been a while since I changed one but, the Easiest ( and cheapest) thing to find them out of is a chevy / gmc van . Early 70s thru early 80s . Not sure of exact years. One thing , make sure the column doesnt have the dimmer switch on it! The van colomn looks pretty much like the standard truck column , as far as size.
The lower lenght of the column is a little bit longer. I just heat up the intermediate shaft and collapse it by that much. Also usually have to change the wiring plug end. Most of the van columns Ive gotten have a flat plug . Just take the plug end off your straight truck column and "rewire" it to the van column. The wires are held in the plug with a small tab. I use a small pick to release them .

GOOD LUCK!!!
