Question about lowering blocks??
just curious, but does anyone know why lowering blocks for our trucks are $60-90 online thru CPP, ECE.. when you can get lowering blocks in autozone or ebay for $20 w/U-bolts.. is there somthing special about our trucks that causes a use to 3x more expensive block. I've heard of people just making their own out of 2x2 square tubing, anyone know why a general kit wouldnt work for our trucks, say somthing like this... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Bille...spagenameZWDVW

Re: Question about lowering blocks??
Im assuming you have a coil sprung rear end which is why the "cheaper" block kits wont work. They are a different size and design. You could just get the extended u bolts from cpp and then make your own bocks outta 2x2 to save a little money if you have access to that kind of stuff. I had the cpp kit a long time ago and it was nice...

Re: Question about lowering blocks??
i made my blocks out of 2.5x2.5x.25 square tube that i had laying around.
Now i just need to get some U-bolts made at the local suspension shop. |
