How rare is this?
'87 4x4 Extended cab...Haven't seen many of these, anybody know the production numbers. Not a sale thread, just curious.

these arent stock and were never built by GM, they were production by coach companies. Rare? maybe alittle though we have come across quite a few and you should find a couple threads on them by doing a search...

Thats actually one of the better ones i've seen as far as looks of the extended part. If only they had started with short bed trucks and extended the frame to keep a standard size bed. That cut down bed always looks strange.

Finding one that isn't rusted out and falling apart is rare. Beyond that no one knows how many were built since there were multiple companies authorized by GM to convert them.

GM authorized? That's the first I've heard of that.
Yes...there were a few shops that retro fitted some used GM trucks... probably after customers started asking why they could buy a Nissan King Cab, but not a ext. cab Chevy.

Whoa! I have seen some way nice ones with that, their usually dually though(the ones i have seen).
