Instrument cluster panel for aftermarket gauges
I am looking for an aluminum panel to fit in the stock location to mount a set of aftermarket gauges on a 65. I've seen them for the 67-72 and early pickups, but I haven't found anything for 63-66.
Thanks, Jason

Re: Instrument cluster panel for aftermarket gauges
I love the gauge/dash setup thatg SIR has from Haneline. There is also another version using autometer gauges at http://brothersonlinestore.com/prodi...number=CGP6600 Personally I like the Haneline set up better. What gauges did you use SIR?

Re: Instrument cluster panel for aftermarket gauges
Thats exactly what I need. I thought I had seen them before browsing for parts on my 71, but when I looked back through my catalogs I couldn't find them again.
Thanks, Jason

Re: Instrument cluster panel for aftermarket gauges
In the past I've had to make them myself. The GMC's are a little more work since the gauge panel and the bezel are one piece. You just have to cut them apart, leaving a lip on the bezel so you have a place to attach the new gauge panel. IIRC there is a groove that you can cut in as a guide and it leaves enough of a lip.

kwkenuf,
Is that a copper color, or is it just the lighting? Jason

Re: Instrument cluster panel for aftermarket gauges
We sell these. They are custom made they are a two panel set. The gauges mount to the inner panel and the outer panel fits over to cover up the rim on the gauges. Its just a little different. They can be powder coated. We do not sell them polished as it tends to scratch easily. They only fit Autometer gauges which we can provide if wanted.

Re: Instrument cluster panel for aftermarket gauges
I don't know if anyone else has noticed but on ebay I always see the same old stuff like fenedrs, rockers cab corners. I know you always have to keep checking which I do, but there dosen't seem to be many good used parts for these trucks.

Re: Instrument cluster panel for aftermarket gauges
The color appears to be anodizing. It's a coating process used on aluminum, can be done in several colors. Relatively hard surface. When done properly, it won't peel or scratch in normal use. We used it a lot on aircraft parts.
