coil spring boosters
hey guys (and gals), has anyone used coil spring boosters such as these from advance auto parts to help add some height and rigidity back to worn out coils. i'd like to avoid the cost of new coils, but i know i need to do something to regain some stiffness. i've seen some that are metal and some that are rubber/poly. any comments would be great

Re: coil spring boosters
Does the weight of the truck keep them intact? It's hard to tell from the pic how they stay put.

Re: coil spring boosters
as far as i can tell, you kind of wedge them inbetween the coils. the metal ones screw in. the rubber versions wedge in when the spring is unsprung.

This is a great and inexpensive product http://www.airliftcompany.com/ I used the airlift1000 set up in my '96 Impala SS it was fantastic.

Re: coil spring boosters
IMO they are kind of a bandaid for a spring going south. I have seen them used though and they do work as described.
