Where to find new Tank brackets?

One of the brackets that my passenger side gas tank sits on is completely rotten, and it's not likely that the others are a lot better. Where can I get new ones? Does GM still sell the originals?

Thanks

Thanks, I'll have to look again. Last time I found straps, but not the brackets.

Re: Where to find new Tank brackets?

No I think he's like me he means the metal L-shaped bracket that bolts to the frame with like 4 bolts. Then the metal band/strap attaches to it, sticks through the frame and has a long thread part.

I too need the big l shaped brackets that bolt to the frame, our 86 4x4 was trashed and the 84 c-10 isn't much better. Somebody already put in a new tank and sending unit, now I need to put on new brackets if I can ever find some.

Re: Where to find new Tank brackets?

I bought a set of them from the local GM dealership a year back. They were nice and probably fit a lot better then the ones LMC carries. I can not remember what they cost though, since I bought lots of stuff from the dealership that time. They still carry all the spring hanger stuff that I also bought the same time. And they also carry all the fuel tank hoses to. I bought about everything that bolts to the frame from the cab back about a year ago doing a restoration on the '82.

Re: Where to find new Tank brackets?

Yea I bought a spring hanger for my 86 k10 about a year and half ago or so.

I'll have to search and see what I can find online.

Well I looked on partszoneonline, which is where I bought my spring hanger from, alot cheaper then a gm dealer and cheaper then gmpartsdirect. I couldn't find any fuel tank brackets only the tank or hose.

I couldn't find anything on the gmpartsdirect site either.

Anyone have access to gm computer or something to look up the part numbers?

Re: Where to find new Tank brackets?

I just lucked out and snagged a set on Ebay for $15, but thanks for the offer. Had I not bid already when I read this, I probably would have taken you up.
