Not sure if anyone has posted a picture of this 59 GMC I saw in Spokane WA a couple of weeks ago. Its a 59 4X4 GMC Napco conversion. The guy said it was a farm truck with a flatbed on it when he bought. You need to see this on in person to fully appreciate the job he did on it.

Nice truck, one of my favorite frontends. That goes back to my grandad's 59 GMC panel he was using for a milktruck.

We used to have one just like that on the farm when i was a kid only it was a duallie with a dump box on it. I think it is long gone now though if i only knew then what i know now.

I had a 1957 Napco back in the late 70's.
It was a Farm truck from Weatherford Texas, the owner used it to haul watermelons to market, the inside of the bed was not dented at all. First year for factory installed Napco you could tell by the rivets instead of bolts through the crossmember.
The Napco conversion was an expensive option in the late 50's. It cost over a Grand a lot of money considering that the trucks they were installing on were less than three Grand.
They sold the option saying that when you bought a new truck you could swap out all the componets to you new truck, and covert the old one to it's original condition. These trucks had an incredible turning radius and were available in 1/2, 3/4 and 1 ton versions. The only modifications from original were the trailer mirrors, hood ornament and rear bumper.

I should never have let it get away.
