Dropping the front 2 inches
I was going to drop the front of my 67 2 inches, just using drop coils for now. Eventually I'll invest in drop spindles, but for now, just some coils.
In your guys' opinions, do I need to get new shocks for this?

if your shocks are good I'd try them and see, your driving habits and your roads will decide how much travel you'll use, if you bust em you'll know.

 plus i dont think 2 inches will make you need to get new shocks unless you go over some big drops and what not that make the truck really bounce and use all the suspension

I dropped the front of my 70 2 inches with just coils and the stock shocks worked just fine.

When you have the old springs out, remount the shocks. Then try using a floor jack and raising the lower A-arm as far as it'll go. If the shock stops the vertical travel before the rubber stop is fully compressed, then yes, you'll need shorter shocks.
On the other hand, if when the rubber stop is compressed you still have some shock travel left, you'll be fine.
