Re: Middle Seatbelt

I believe all the bench seats had them with lapbelts. I would guess there is even an anchor point somewhere under the carpet and half of it was probably combined with an existing belt I believe also.

Re: Middle Seatbelt

my 70 only has two anchor bolts in the center.

Share the anchor bolts with the existing belt buckles. Might need a slightly longer bolt though.

Re: Middle Seatbelt

It's not very difficult to drill a whole and weld a nut in place so that you can bolt in a new seat. It took me about an hour to do the whole job including removing and reinstalling the seat....

But,why do that?I try to not alter these trucks with unnecessary holes and all.Besides, doing it "as original" is easier.

The three belts was standard starting (required) in`72.

Re: Middle Seatbelt

The three seat belts were an option and standard with certain upgrade options. From the factory with the three seat belts still used only the same for seatbelt holes.

Re: Middle Seatbelt

okay so just buy a seat belt w/o retractors and use the existing two anchor bolts to secure the middle belt?

Yup, and if you check ebay, you may even find an original one, or a junkyard too....
