How do you get these &^%^%$% lever knobs off so I can get this plastic cover off and polish it up? Thanks.

Re: Heater Control Knobs

I kept thinking there should be an allen screw or something but it sure looks like you're right. I'll grab on, close my eyes and give it a try. Thanks.

Re: Heater Control Knobs

Jor,
They're held on by a clip that is inserted into the knob. Just pull out on them, and the should come off. They will be on there pretty firmly.

Re: Heater Control Knobs

Find something to hook behind the knob. The spring steel clips on the levers are sharp and will remove bare finger flesh quite efficiently!!

FYI!!

Re: Heater Control Knobs

Great advice. Thanks. I ended up using a pair of brake pliers to hook onto the back of the knobs. I gave them a pop and off they came. Just had to locate them as they went flying into the back of the Burban.
