Re: TRI-PRO smooth wiper cowl !!!

Working on it. Taiwan actually resent the designs this morning to ask which variants to pursue.

I've asked that they not put the nozzle holes in it for now because I haven't found one that shoots at the correct angle/pattern yet.

Re: TRI-PRO smooth wiper cowl !!!

Cool! It feels like there is progress here!

Two questions:

I know you're in prototype phase still, but what do you think the ETA is on the first part to ship? Are we looking at 3 months, 6 months, 12 months? Just looking for an estimate ....

What do you expect the price point to be on these?

Some tools they get done in a few months....others take MUCH longer. I don't know that they'll put any sort of priority on this and until we start discussing their cost to produce I won't have any guess on the price.

We are also going to evaluate the aux. battery tray in the next couple weeks. I think that we can produce it quickly because we already have the standard tray and shouldn't have to create more than one additional part to make it.

Re: TRI-PRO smooth wiper cowl !!!

Cool, I just bought an aux tray yesterday from a board member. It's in the shape you'd expect for a tray that is 45+ yrs old. I'll be looking forward to seeing yours and possibly buying one when it comes in. I'm already definitely sold on the cowl...

Did you get an aux tray yet? It basically uses a similar "tray" part, but the side walls of the tray are much sturdier from a thicker gauge metal (and very simple 90° bends), so I think it would be very easy for you to make quickly.

We found a good tray and it actually looks like one side of the standard mounts can be reversed and used....the other side support is the one I think we'll need to create.

Cool.

I'm really glad Tri-pro is on the case! Can't wait to see some (all) of these products come to fruition!

There's a lot of people "On the case" fortunately. The factory gets suggestions, samples, help in test fitting parts, etc. from most of the distributors that you already know. The more quality parts that are made available the better things are for everyone.

I thought there was already a new replacement style short wheel base floor already out and had been for a year or 2. Trevor

Look at the date, last post was 2007. No updates. Just curious if the part ever came out.

We're just a few beheadings away from quality re-produced sheetmetal. How do we make someone care about this like they care about lead paint in toys?
