Tire wear ?

Both front tires are worn badly along the outside edge of each, but the rest of the tread looks evenly worn. What would be the cause of this? ball joints, alignment? Rears look to be fine. These tires were on the truck when I bought it, so I'm not sure how old they are.

Re: Tire wear ?

Just the outer edge of each tire. inner edge and middle of tread look fine.

Re: Tire wear ?

to camber issue. if you are around your pick-up jack up the front end and check the ball joints by pulling out on the bottom edge of tire to check for lateral movement (becareful in case the steel cords are showing) if you can't feel any looseness try the same thing on the tierod ends to check for play

Re: Tire wear ?

Damn. I was on the 40-yr plan. Looks like it'll have to be done earlier than that.

Re: Tire wear ?

I would have alignment checked. It's a good possibility (since it is a truck) they aligned it empty, but hauled a lot of heavy loads which would lower rear/lift front, thus cause wear on the outside.
