Can U use a 73-91 suburban gas tank on an 87 Blazer? If so, is there any modifications necessary to the Blazer Frame. Need to increase the fuel capacity in my blazer. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks! Ernie

87-91 Sub tank will work (has correct baffles for fuel injection). Use corresponding sender and fuel tank straps also, and it should bolt right in.

a 25 gallon tank should measure 29"x28"x11"
a 31 gallon tank should measure 29"x28"x13"

the suburbans ran the same tanks but they also could have a 40 gallon tank

the 40 gallon tank measures35"x29"x13

if you get the 73-86 tank you will need to keep it above the 1/4 tank level because they have no baffles in them.

I have never tried the 40 gallon tank in a blazer and i do not think there is enough room for it.
