Re: WIW, 81 250 6 Cyl?
There's a small market, mostly sickos like me (my family regularly ran our 250's to 250K+). A late model integral head seems to bring $100-150 here in MI. Usually they bring $500 with the truck attached.
I'd love to have it but the gas to drive there would kill me. Lets see, you should be about 250 miles away, at 17MPG (gotta bring truck, wife wouldn't like that in the minivan) time 3.59 = $150. Ouch. If you do decide to part it I'd be interested in PS, all pulleys, carb and cable, and distributor. Heck, at that point, it might be cheaper for me to come get it... |

Re: WIW, 81 250 6 Cyl?
I had to eventually throw away two good runing sixes. JUST for reference i found out the hard way that all the brackets and such that fit the late sixes 77(appx)- 84 do not fit the 66-76(appx) sixes. when they went to integral head in 77 ALL the hardware had to change. I converted one 84 i had BACK to the NOn- integral and had to find all new bracketry and because early PS brackets and such are hard to come by I wound up making a more than one thing up!. crossy

Re: WIW, 81 250 6 Cyl?
Thats a good deal on the power steering brackets. Mr 79 c10 I have a73 with a six that was manual, and converted it to power. easy swap even for a poor mechanic like me. best thing I've done. Just need those brackets and any chevy power steering pump and power steering gear and pittman arm at any junkyard. lol
