cold carb
Today is warm and humid. My truck is warming up in garage I notice on my metering plates condensation, When I touch it the plates are very cold. This is not a bad thing is it?

Re: cold carb
I had a PCV clog and ICE actually formed on the carb driving through fog. Fouled the plugs too. Check to see that the PCV rattles when you shake it and that there is vacuum.
(edit)>> If the PCV checks out OK, what you see may be normal. Just like in industrial air conditioners, the evaporative effect of the fuel atomizing will cool down the carb before the engine warms the intake enough to offset it. I never really noticed except the one time I had a real problem. Last edited by 71tahoe; 05-09-2007 at 12:31 PM. |
