Man, keep wrenchin' & working. I got started because of my Dad, and then he put away his tools. It took me a while to learn what I have, but it's well worth it...

Re: 73 gmc axles

Well, the spring perches will need moved and one spring mount will need moved to point towards the front. On the 73+ models, one points towards the back and one towards the front. You need both to point forward

Re: 73 gmc axles

1/2 or 3/4 ton?
If it was 1/2 there would be no reason to think of swapping them into your Blazer anyway, same drivetrain.
If it was a 3/4 ton then the rear axle would be the only thing different really than the 1/2 ton.The only difference in the front axle is the hubs, lockouts, ect.
Can't ask what they are worth as the forum rules state, sorry

Re: 73 gmc axles

Rush that sale along. It ain`t done till money`s in hand. You don`t want him talking around and getting "expert" opinions.
If that falls through you can use them. It`s an easy fix to move a shock mount and the perches.People do it all the time.But,$1,400 will go a long wat towards another set that bolts straight in.
